GIRL!!!
Sorry, if you didn't want to know that! Hahahha...
So anyway, we are both thrilled about the fact that there will be a little girl coming into our lives. We think it'll soften Jay up a bit, and quite frankly there is just way too much testerone in this house for me! (I mean that in the nicest way, of course since I really couldn't ask for better men to share my life with) We are attaching a picture of our little angel so that you can see how beautiful she is. And now, time for a little story.....
In the middle of August we decided to talk to Fr.Marc about our frustrations with our inablilty to get pregnant. We were praying so much, and we were timing everything right, and after a year of trying with no luck... we were officially considered "infertile". So why was this happening? All we wanted was to fullfill our wedding vows and be open to life. So what's going on? Are we doing something wrong? Fr. Marc asked us to come and see him the following day before mass so that he could pray over us, so we went. He prayed to St. Joseph and asked him to bless us with a child, then he handed Jay a little vile filled with the oil of St. Joseph with specific instructions to bless my belly every night before bed. He also said that Jay had to come to Montreal with him and the rest of the Men of St. Joseph's to the Oratory. This is a yearly pilgrimage that these men go on to pray for their families. They climb 4 very large flights of concrete steps on their knees while praying for their specific intentions. So Jay went...and climbed... and prayed.... and blessed my belly every night. 2 weeks later, I woke up and decided to take a pregancy test. Well whadaya know??!! We're having a baby!! Yay! :0)
So anyway when we started to talk about names we both felt that we should pay tribute to our Patron Saint. We said that whether it was a boy or a girl, the name would have to be some derivitive of Joseph. (This name is also very special to me since it was my grandfathers name who I love and miss very much. It is also Jay's great grandfather's name) We were a little torn because though Josephine is a beautiful traditional name, it just wasn't really us. So out of the blue Jay said to me... What about the name Josie? Without hesitation, I said, "I love it!
We have yet to come up with a middle name but are very open to suggestions. Please have your suggestions submitted, in writing, no later than April 30th... Hahah
